1. Introduction

SchoolFinders is a platform designed to connect schools, parents, and educational vendors. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our services, including school listings, vendor marketplace, event promotions, and user interactions.

 

2. User Registration

  • Eligibility: Users must be at least 18 years old to register as school owners or vendors. Parents under 18 require parental consent to use the platform.
  • Registration Information: Users must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep it up to date.
  • Verification: SchoolFinders reserves the right to verify user credentials and may request additional documentation.

 

3. School and Vendor Listings

3.1 School Listings:

  • Schools must provide accurate details, including curriculum, fees, facilities, and extracurricular activities.
  • Schools are responsible for updating their profiles to reflect accurate information.

3.2 Vendor Listings:

  • Vendors must list products and services with clear descriptions, pricing, and terms of sale.
  • Prohibited items, including non-educational or illegal products, are not allowed.

3.3 Prohibited Content:

  • Listings must not include offensive, false, misleading, or discriminatory content.
  • SchoolFinders reserves the right to remove or modify listings that violate these guidelines.

 

4. Payment and Fees

  • Schools: Subscription fees apply for listing and promotional services. Options include monthly, quarterly, or annual billing.
  • Vendors: Fees include subscription plans and commissions on sales made through the platform. Vendors may also purchase additional promotional features, such as advertising slots.
  • Refund Policy: Refunds for subscriptions are only available within seven (7) days of payment, provided no services (e.g., onboarding) have been utilized.

 

5. User Conduct

  • Users must interact respectfully and professionally with others on the platform.
  • Harassment, spam, or abusive language is strictly prohibited.
  • Reviews and feedback must be honest, respectful, and based on personal experiences.

 

6. Privacy and Data Protection

  • Data Collection: SchoolFinders collects personal data to provide platform services, improve user experience, and support targeted marketing efforts.
  • Data Use: User data will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
  • Security Measures: The platform employs industry-standard encryption and security protocols to protect user data.
  • User Responsibility: Users are responsible for safeguarding their login credentials.

 

7. Intellectual Property

  • Platform Ownership: All content, branding, and intellectual property related to SchoolFinders are owned by the platform and may not be used without permission.
  • User-Generated Content: By posting content, users grant SchoolFinders a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display the content on the platform and in marketing materials.

 

8. Event Posting and Promotions

  • Schools can post events such as open houses and graduations for free.
  • SchoolFinders reserves the right to review and approve events before they are listed.

 

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Between Users:

  • Disputes between users (e.g., parents, schools, vendors) must first be addressed through the platform’s communication tools.
  • SchoolFinders may facilitate mediation but is not responsible for final resolution.

9.2 With SchoolFinders:

  • Disputes involving the platform must be submitted in writing to the customer support team.

 

10. Termination of Services

  • By SchoolFinders: Accounts may be terminated for violations of these Terms and Conditions, fraudulent activity, or non-payment.
  • By Users: Users may deactivate their accounts at any time. Subscription fees will not be refunded for unused periods unless explicitly stated in the refund policy.

 

11. Limitation of Liability

  • SchoolFinders is not liable for inaccuracies in user-generated content, disputes between users, or damages resulting from the use of the platform.
  • The platform’s liability is limited to the subscription fees paid by the user for the current term.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.

 

13. Modifications to Terms and Services
