Refund Policy for Schoo Shop Vendors

At Schoo Shop, we are committed to ensuring that both our customers and vendors have a positive and fair shopping experience. Each store on Schoo Shop operates under the following refund policy to provide clarity and transparency for all transactions.
1. Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds are applicable in the following cases:
- Defective Product: If the product is defective or malfunctioning upon receipt.
- Damaged During Shipping: If the product arrives visibly damaged due to shipping.
- Incorrect Product: If the customer received an incorrect product, different from what was ordered.
- Product Not as Described: If the product does not match the description, images, or specifications provided in the listing.
- Incomplete Orders: If the product received is missing essential parts, accessories, or components.
- Product Expiry (For Consumables): If the product is expired or near its expiration date when received.
- Customer Changed Mind: If the customer no longer wants the product, provided it is returned in its original, unused, and undamaged condition within the specified return period.
- Size/Compatibility Issues: For items such as clothing or electronic devices, if the product does not fit or is incompatible as expected.
2. Non-Refundable Items
Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:
- Final Sale or Clearance Items: Products marked as “Final Sale” or “Clearance” at the time of purchase.
- Personalized/Custom Products: Products that are customized or personalized for the customer (unless defective or not as described).
- Digital Goods/Software: Any downloadable digital goods, once accessed or downloaded.
- Used or Damaged Products: Products that have been used, worn, or damaged by the customer after receipt.
- Gift Cards: Gift cards purchased from Schoo Shop are non-refundable.
3. Return Conditions
For a refund to be processed:

- The product must be returned in its original packaging, unused, and in saleable condition.
- A valid proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) must be provided.

- If the return is due to a defective product, damage, or an error by the vendor, the cost of return shipping will be covered by the vendor.
- If the return is due to a change of mind or incorrect order by the customer, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.

- Upon receiving the returned item, the vendor will inspect the product to ensure it meets the return conditions. You will be notified of the status of your refund within [5-7] business days after the inspection.

- Once approved, refunds will be issued to your original payment method (credit card, bank transfer, etc.). Refunds may take [5-10] business days to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.
5. Exchanges
In cases where the customer prefers an exchange instead of a refund:
- Contact the vendor directly to inquire about product availability for exchange.
- The vendor may offer to exchange the product for a similar item, subject to stock availability and the condition of the returned item.
6. Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received your refund within the specified time frame:
- Check your bank account or payment method for pending transactions.
- Contact your bank or payment provider; there may be a delay in processing.
- If you’ve followed these steps and still have not received your refund, please contact the vendor or Schoo Shop support at support@schooshop.ng.
7. Cancellations
If you wish to cancel an order before it has shipped:
- Contact the vendor immediately through Schoo Shop’s messaging system.
- If the order has already been processed or shipped, it may not be eligible for cancellation, and the return process will need to be followed.
